The Coopérative de Solidarité Le Chez-nous du Communautaire des Moulins and FUTUR Real Estate Announce an Exploratory Initiative
Terrebonne, April 22, 2025 – The Coopérative de Solidarité Le Chez-nous du Communautaire des Moulins and FUTUR Real Estate are launching an exploratory initiative to assess the creation of a new community service point in Terrebonne, located at 640 Langlois Street.
This initiative aims to address a growing demand for suitable rental spaces for community organizations in the MRC Les Moulins region. Faced with an increasing waitlist and limited space at the current Mascouche facility, both partners are working to evaluate the feasibility of a new offering, with the goal of launching as early as fall 2025 or by April 2026.
Founded 25 years ago, the Coopérative has been managing a building in Mascouche since 2008. Over the years, it has proven its ability to deliver high-quality services and respond effectively to the needs of its members and partners. Its stability and credibility make it a natural ally for FUTUR Real Estate, which shares strong social and community values.
“The mission of our cooperative is to bring together, unite, and mobilize stakeholders in local social development. It is therefore only natural for us to explore this opportunity with a partner like FUTUR Real Estate, which demonstrates a genuine sensitivity to the needs of our community,” says Mélissa Moffette, Director of the Coopérative.
FUTUR Real Estate, the owner of the building at 640 Langlois Street, is committed to maintaining the building’s social purpose, as it has long served as a home to community organizations.
“It’s important to us that this building continues to serve the community, just as it always has. We believe in the essential role of local organizations and want to provide them with accessible spaces, tailored to their needs, at competitive rates,” says Jérémy Savoie, President and Founder of FUTUR Real Estate.
In this context, the partners are inviting all community organizations serving the Mascouche and Terrebonne areas to share their space needs with the Coopérative. A consultation will be conducted to document real needs and help guide the next steps in the process. Additional details will be shared with partners in the coming weeks.
